UPLIFTMENT PROGRAM

As a leader in technology in South Africa, Donkerhoek Data has an opportunity and a responsibility to apply its expertise in software to helping people, particularly people in under served communities.

Donkerhoek Data is situated on the farm, Donkerhoek, in Simondium and hence has farm labourers in close vicinity. We decided to make a difference right here in our community.

The children of the local farms are attending pc training classes on Friday afternoons. They are enjoying the exposure and our trainers are finding their enthusiasm rewarding.

We are also currently working closely with Mr. William Keet, Headmaster of the local farm school, Simondium Primary, on assisting him in the development of his computer department. We plan to extend our service to incorporate free training for teachers of this school.
